Mount St. Helens

Mount St. Helens was partially obstructed by smoke from forest fires at the end of our visit, but the impact of the 1980 eruption was still very evident. The Lodgepole Pines, planted in 1983, look good in the previously devastated forests.

Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier was beautiful, with visibility hampered by small clouds. It was exciting to see the glaciers so well. The rivers of stone were amazing. There is so much evidence of glacier action and debris.

The geography and agriculture of Montana vary considerably from east to west. "Great Falls", Montana, received its name from the falls at a dam in the city.

Yellowstone National Park, day 2

Our second day in Yellowstone National Park was a great success in witnessing nature's beauty and God's creations, including geothermal steam creating a low-hanging cloud, geysers and terraces, many bison, and the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River.
