propeller plane in Laos

Yes, there are still planes with propellers. This one flew us from Vientiane, Laos, to Luang Prabang, Laos. Vientiane is the capital of Laos. Luang Prabang is the ancient, royal capital of Laos. It is located on a peninsula between the Mekong and Khan Rivers. The city is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so buses are not permitted in this small city. We took a bus part way from the airport, then transferred to a Tuk Tuk (from the sound they make when the engine starts). A Tuk Tuk is like a high-powered 3-wheeled motorcycle with covered seating for several people.
