Eastern State Penitentiary

Eastern State Penitentiary was built in Philadelphia, PA, in 1822-1836. The building, with cellblocks like the spokes of a wheel, became a model for over 300 prisons worldwide. It was closed in 1971. This photo shoot was sponsored by the Chester County Camera Club. More photos are on this slide show: http://www.kuhnfamily.com/pictures/CCCC/ESP/index.html
